Open offers are hard to use because they leave you doing the organizing. Specific jobs are easier to give away and easier for people to say yes to.

Driving to and from treatment. A meal on a specific day. School pickup on Tuesdays. Sitting in the waiting room. Making one phone call to the insurer. Keep a list on your phone and give the next thing on it to the next person who offers.
