The newsletter

Every couple of weeks I take one idea from clinical trials and explain it the way I wish someone had explained it to me. No jargon left standing.

I am an internal medicine resident and a future oncologist, still learning a lot of this out loud. The posts are longer than the cards and go deeper. Where the cards answer a question a patient has in clinic, the newsletter takes apart how the research itself works, and why it is built the way it is.

Why it exists

Most explanations of clinical trials are written for people who already understand clinical trials. That leaves out almost everyone the research is supposed to serve. I am trying to close that gap one idea at a time, starting from the basics and assuming nothing.

If you would rather have the short version you can hold in your hand, the cards cover the same ground one question at a time, in six languages.
