Why do you keep checking my blood?

We are counting three things. White cells fight infection, red cells carry oxygen and make you feel strong, and platelets stop bleeding.

Treatment pushes all three down for a while. The numbers tell us when it is safe to give the next dose, and when you are at risk of infection.
