I am getting hot flushes. What is going on?

Several cancer treatments lower or block hormones, and that can bring on hot flushes, night sweats and dryness, in women and in men. It can happen suddenly rather than gradually, which is why it feels so unlike normal aging.

There are treatments for this that are not hormones, so ask. It is worth raising even if it feels minor next to everything else. It is one of the commonest reasons people quietly stop taking hormone tablets.
