The person caring for me is exhausted. Is there help for them?
Yes, and it is under-used. Caregivers report levels of distress as high as patients, and they rarely ask for anything because they do not think they are the patient.
Ask your team about caregiver support, respite, and counseling that they can access in their own name. Bring them to an appointment and let them ask their questions out loud rather than yours.
