What if I want to stop treatment?

Then say so, and we will listen properly rather than talk you out of it. Wanting to stop is not weakness or giving up, and it is a decision you are entitled to make.

Tell your team why, because sometimes the reason is a side effect they can fix or a cost they can help with. And ask about palliative care, which is about living better and is not the same as stopping.
